Mistah Fab- Da Baydestrian (Album Sampler)

Ok, so the album sampler is available online. I'm not going to post the whole thing, but it's out there, and it gives you 1:30 to 2 minutes of every song. After listening to it, I don't know if the album is worth the purchase (for me), but then again, Mistah Fab isn't one of my favorite artists. He's got plenty of hits, but I think he's annoying other times.

Looks like "Da Baydestrian" is an even mix of hyphy and deep/personal tracks.

Example:

Deep/Personal track- "Jamonie Robinson"
http://www.zshare.net/audio/04-mistah_fab-jamonie_robinsons-mp3.html

Hyphy Track- "Dem Cars"
http://www.zshare.net/audio/11-mistah_fab-dem_cars-mp3.html

Da Baydestrian drops on May 15th

edit: now that I remember that it comes with a DVD and a pass to download Son Of A Pimp....yeah, I'm buying this one.

RELEASE DATE: JUNE 5TH

Spider Loc Disses Messy Marv, E-40

http://www.indastreets.net/01%20OVA%20KILL.mp3

edit: Another link to hear the song:
http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/audio/id.1915/title.spider-loc-f-papa-smurf-ova-kill-the-game-messy-marv-e-40-diss

I guess Spider Loc got mad cuz Messy Marv said "I ROCK ALL MY ICE AINT NONE OF THIS TUCKED, SPIDER LOC WHERE? THE HOMIE DID WHAT?" on that album with Keak and PSD. And it looks like he dissed E-40 cuz he was on the same track? Sounds like a cry for attention by guy who has no career. Not only that but he's dissing a rapper who's locked up (Messy Marv)...

I don't know, maybe my opinion is biased, so I'll let you make what you want out of this.

New Releases for 4/17/07

Ok, there are a couple of interesting album covers for new releases this week.

Artist:Husalah
Album: Huslin' Since Da 80's
Label: Sumo

1. Mamaco
2. I'm A Wild Child
3. Husalah Shine
4. Talk It Out
5. Fighting The Feds
6. Get Paper
7. Yea Baby
8. Gear
9. Pretty Young Thang
10. Street Story (Feat. The Jacka)
11. I Fell In Love With Crime
12. It's Kinda Hot
13. I Want To Be A Husalah
14. Stupid Dumb
15. Before The Dope (Feat. Pretty Black & More)
16. How I'm Livin' (Feat. The Jacka & Fed-X)
17. Ripper
18. Reason Why: Street Version

This is a solid release, I'll give it a good 7/10. I'm not feeling some of the production, but Husalah and the rest of Mob Figaz are sickk.

Here's track # 11- "I Fell In Love With Crime"
http://www.zshare.net/audio/husalah-11-i_fell_in_love_with_crime-cr-mp3.html

Artist: Haji Springer
Album: Hello Buddy
Label: Thizz

1. Intro
2. Hello Buddy (Feat. Keak Da Sneak & San Quinn)
3. Purple Stuff
4. It's Haji (Feat. Mike Marshall & Fatback)
5. Do My Thing
6. The Indian Rapper (Feat. Jalissa)
7. Stunnerade (Feat. Bleu Davinci)
8. Stupid, Slumper, Slap (Feat. Crest Creepaz)
9. I'm Thizz'n: Remix (Feat. Turf Talk & Mistah F.A.B.)
10. Punk'd
11. Showinout (Feat. J-Diggs & Bavgate)
12. Hajiwood (Feat. Dogwood Speaks)
13. We Gone Get That (Bambino & Fly)
14. I'll Be Back
15. Haji's Back (Feat. Cait La Dee)
16. Da Bizness (Feat. Dubee, Equipto & Lil Dank)
17. Hustlaz & Scraperz (Feat. Turf Talk & The Jacka)
18. Belly Dance (Feat. Yukmouth, Gennesse & Cait La Dee)
19. Hey! (Feat. Cozmo & Berner)
20. So Easy (Feat. Monstah Ganja, G-Stack & Fatback)
21. I Don't Care

Ok, this cd is only good for a laugh. Haji's subject mater is pretty much limited to being Indian, driving a taxi, and getting fucked up off thizz, purple weed, and drank. Mac Dre's name is mentioned probably at least 10 times in the album, a lot of other shit is repeated...Haji is a nice character, but I can't handle 21 tracks of Haji.

If for some reason you want me to upload a Haji Springer song...put in a request and I'll do it. I think there's also some more releases, but not that I feel like mentioning.

More Info On Mistah F.A.B.'s "Da Baydestrian"

This is taken off of Westcoastrydaz.com

"San Francisco, CA, April 16, 2007 - Although Mistah F.A.B. has endured much scrutiny in the national press over the past few months for his single, “Ghost Ride It”, he prepares himself for his upcoming release on Faeva Afta/SMC Recordings this May with DA BAYDESTRIAN.

Recording his album - DA BAYDESTRIAN in record time, the release will also feature FAB's infamous DVD, “The Freestyle King” as a bonus as well as a “Yellow Bus Pass” to download his breakthrough album “Son of a Pimp” for free. FAB explains why he decided to add extra features to his album, “"I'm puttin the Bonus DVD and free download of 'Son Of A Pimp' in there because that's the album that got my buzz crazy in the Bay. We're sayin' DA BAYDESTRIAN is the prequel to Da Yellow Bus Rydah so I wanna give you as much of me to get you ready for that."

DA BAYDESTRIAN will feature production by Rob-E, Sean-T, Traxxamillion, Young L among others and guest appearances from Too Short, Keak Da Sneak, Fabo from D4L, Mesy Marv and Spice 1. FAB's next track off the album, “Get This Shit Together” has already been leaked on line and has been popping up on West coast radio stations. FAB wants everyone to know, “DA BAYDESTRIAN is for all the fans that's been waiting for the last two years for something new. It's a project that's gonna rep the Bay to the fullest no strings attached and show everyone there's more to me than just goin' dumb. People forget that I really spit and think that all I do is ride Da Yellow Bus".

Never one to slow down, F.A.B. is already back in the studio working on his major label debut, “Da Yellow Bus Rydah” being released on Atlantic Records, "I know everyone is like what's up with the whole Atlantic deal? Yes, Atlantic is goin' to drop "Da Yellow Bus Rydah", DA BAYDESTRIAN is just the in between process. The music business is crazy. I'm puttin my heart into it, so to all the fans just be patient and post up at the bus stop". DA BAYDESTRIAN is being released on Faeva Afta/ Thizz Nation/ SMC Recordings and will hit streets May 15th."

It comes with the dvd and a pass to DL his last album for free...WOW, this one will be worth the purchase. A similar article was posted on Dubcnn.com so it looks like they're starting to build up some hype with the release less than a month away.

New Ya Boy Single- "Holla At Ya Boy"

The edited version is now up on Ya Boy's myspace:
http://myspace.com/yaboy

I'll post up the dirty version whenever I get it. Cool & Dre came through with a hot beat...I wonder if this will catch on in the mainstream.

According to his myspace, he has a self titled EP due out this summer. I haven't been dissapointed with anything he's put out yet.

Classic Song: "Ayo For Yayo"

Since I haven't had shit to post the few days, I've decided to upload a classic track.

New San Quinn Single!! "Do Ya Thizzle"

The song is called "Do Ya Thizzle" produced by Traxamllion. This is off Quinn's upcoming album, From A Boy To A Man. This is one of the few albums I know I'm going to buy without listening to it first.

Listen to the single on Quinn's myspace page:
http://www.myspace.com/sanquinn

or here: http://www.xxlmag.com/online/?p=9129

In other news, Ya Boy is supposed to drop a single produced by Cool & Dre any day now. Hopefully this isn't like the "From The Hood" video that was supposed to drop "any day now" weeks ago.

Kaz Kyzah- Behind The Scenes

http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid340480168?bctid=450195208

This video has clips from new Kaz music videos that have not yet been released. Kaz shot a video for "Money" and another for "Go Down" (which you could listen to here: http://leftcoast415.blogspot.com/2007/03/kaz-kyzah-go-down.html). Some nice eye candy in the second video.

I know Clyde Carson and Kaz Kyazah are doing their solo thing right now, but I hope we get some more group albums from The Team.

New Nump Video- "Be Like Mike DREAM"

I think Nump is pretty weak...but this is something the local graff writers should appreciate.

Quick Clyde Carson "Theatre Music" Update

I heard that on the radio this past Saturday, he announced that the album is going to be released on September 18th. It was supposed to come out in June, but how often do we see something drop when it's supposed to these days? Can't wait for this one beacause The Team's "World Premier" was sick.

Edit (July 30th): No new release date yet, but hopefully its coming with the release of his new single with Game and Sean Kingston.

March 2007- Bay Area Hip Hop Month In Review

I thought January and February were slow, but they were not as bad as March.

Highlights:
-Mistah F.A.B. released a single from Da Baydestrian with "Get It Together"
-Kafani and Keak drop a video for "Fassst"
-Numskull is back with new music/videos

Lowlights:
- Johnny Cash was shot to death
- No exciting new albums were released

Things To Look Forward To In April:
- Traxamillion's "From The Hood" music video
- Frontline has a new song that got some spins on the radio, I only caught the end of it so I can't give an opinion on it yet.
- Hopefully some surprises because I just noticed the Messy Marv/Mitchy Slick album got pushed back to May (according to cduniverse.com), making Rappin 4-Tay's album the most anticipated one out of the Bay for the month? Either that or the new Mob Figaz project, "Without My 5."
